THOUGHTS ON INTERACTIVITY

posted by Scott Trimble and Walter Coppenrath on Monday, 14 Mar 1998

Since our project is directed towards a primarily-adult audience, we do not feel that a Quiz game would be appropriate. We know from our own experience that such things might be beneficial learning tools for certain people of certain younger age groups, but in this context we feel that the user would learn more through uninhibited exploration, such as in the Maya CD-ROM example. Though "passive", we feel that the intereactivity that we currently have, which allows absolute choice of information, is what our intended audience would prefer.

If we were to include some kind of interactivity, it would probably be a way for the user to contact us, the authors, with their opinions. We would construct some kind of animated sequence in which the letter is sent by e-mail.
