Around the Fire

In October 1997, I worked as a background extra in this film. In both of the pictures shown above, you can see me in the scene filmed at Petaluma's Cypress Hill Cemetery (where, coincidentally, my great-great-grandfather, Ferdinand Lee Donham, is also buried). A year and a half after filming, I had the unique opportunity of being able to see myself on the big screen when this movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in Côte D'Azur, France! This was actually my second viewing, after having already seen it at the Tahoe International Film Festival. I was also in another scene as a marijuana-smoking hippie (filmed out west near Point Reyes Station), but this one was edited out.
